Official Fanatec starting preset
Set SEN to Auto, FF to 100, FFS to Peak, NDP to 38, NFR and NIN to Off, INT to 2, and FEI, FOR, SPR, and DPR to 100. In GT7, set Force Feedback Max Torque to 5, Force Feedback Sensitivity to 1, and Countersteering Assistance to Off.
Fanatec describes this baseline as suitable for both the 5 Nm and 8 Nm GT DD Pro. Save it as a named tuning-menu slot before making changes so you always have a clean reference.

Why Max Torque 5 and Sensitivity 1 work
Max Torque is the main in-game gain. Raising it makes the wheel heavier but can compress strong forces and hide detail. Sensitivity changes how the lower part of the force range responds; setting 1 is a clean baseline for a direct-drive base.
The community commonly stays near Max Torque 5 and Sensitivity 1, sometimes increasing torque to 6–8 for a heavier rim or specific car. Treat that as personal refinement, not a universally faster setting.

Adjust for 5 Nm versus 8 Nm
On the 5 Nm supply, keep the official filters and test game torque 5 first. On the 8 Nm Boost Kit, the same percentages produce more physical torque, so prioritise comfort and headroom rather than raising every value. Larger, heavier rims can make the same setting feel softer.
If strong corners feel flat and indistinguishable, lower GT7 Max Torque before changing filters. If the wheel is active but coarse, try one additional INT step.

Troubleshooting
Too heavy: reduce GT7 Max Torque one step. Too numb: return NDP and INT to the official values before adding gain. Straight-line oscillation: add damping in small steps and verify the wheel is calibrated. Violent kickback: reduce gain or FEI and use a safe torque level.
Retest after GT7 physics updates or Fanatec firmware changes. Record the tested game version and driver so an old preset is not silently treated as current.
