Requirements and an important clarification
GT7 and the device running Victory must be on a mutually reachable local network. They do not need the same Wi-Fi band: PS5 Ethernet and phone Wi-Fi work when the router allows the devices to communicate.
GT7 does not provide an in-game “Enable Telemetry Output” setting. Victory initiates the community-documented UDP exchange with the console and listens for data. Do not waste time searching the GT7 menus for a telemetry toggle.
02
Connect from Victory
Open Victory and select Gran Turismo 7. Allow local-network access when the operating system asks. Start an on-track GT7 session so the console is actively producing data. Automatic discovery may connect without further input.
If it does not, find the console’s local IPv4 address. On PS5 use Settings → Network → Connection Status → View Connection Status. Enter that console address in Victory, then retry while driving.
03
Verify live data
Confirm that speed, RPM, gear, lap, or per-wheel temperature changes in real time. A saved console address alone does not prove packet flow. Complete a clean lap to confirm timing and session recording as well as the live dashboard.
The default Victory receive port for GT7 is 33740. GT7 does not offer a normal menu for forwarding to an arbitrary custom port.

Troubleshooting decision tree
First confirm the car is on track. Then check whether the console IP changed, local-network permission is granted, VPN is off, and the phone is not on a guest network. Router client isolation can block devices even when they show the same network name.
Close other GT7 telemetry apps while testing, restart Victory and GT7, and retry. If packet loss persists, test the console over Ethernet. Reserve router/firewall changes for after the basic IP and isolation checks.
- Same reachable LAN matters; same Wi-Fi band does not.
- Console DHCP addresses can change.
- Guest networks commonly block local devices.
- Test one telemetry app at a time.
