Know what your game exposes
GT7 provides one temperature value per wheel in Victory’s telemetry model. It does not expose separate surface and carcass values through Victory, and native pressure or wear percentage should not be claimed. Victory may estimate wear separately.
F1 25 provides surface and inner/carcass temperatures, pressures, wear, compound, and related tyre state. Surface temperature reacts quickly to sliding and braking; carcass temperature changes more slowly and reflects stored heat.

Read patterns, not isolated numbers
Compare all four corners at the same places on consecutive laps. A hot front pair plus rising steering and no speed gain suggests front sliding. Hot rears after exits can indicate wheelspin. One hot front can come from a lockup, a heavily loaded repeated corner, setup asymmetry, or damage.
Left/right imbalance can be normal on an asymmetric circuit. A single live snapshot without track position or recent inputs is weak evidence.

Combine temperature with other evidence
Use pressure and wear where the game supplies them, plus slip, speed, brake, throttle, steering, compound, weather, and lap time. Temperature rising while lap time worsens often means sliding is generating heat rather than useful grip.
No universal target applies across games, cars, compounds, setups, and physics versions. “Hotter equals more grip” stops being true beyond the working range.

A useful testing protocol
Hold compound, setup, fuel, weather, assists, and driving mode constant. Record several consecutive laps and compare values at the same track locations. Change one driving or setup variable, then judge temperature together with lap time, repeatability, pressure or wear, and slip.
Distinguish a new tyre set after a pit stop from a telemetry interruption. Discard out-laps and laps with major traffic when evaluating a stable pattern.
